Horses in a Yoke

We've been up to a number of things here. Playing with googly eyes...

 And dry beans.

Typical Ivy stink eye - a look for all seasons.

Our cousins came for a visit!

Giant bathtub proving itself useful.

And the historic Sandwich Fair, which has been around for over 100 years, was a hit.

We also headed to see Grandma Carola and went to a pumpkin festival across the river. Creston would have sat on that tractor all day.

At 2.5 years old, Creston and Ivy have really started playing with each other in earnest. It's fun to peek around the corner and see what they're up to.

A recent snippet of conversation between myself and Ivy, in the days leading up to the kids' first sleepover at their grandparents (and their first night away from us):

Ivy: I think I will be sad.
Mama: If you get sad, remember that you and Creston can help each other out just like you do at school.
Ivy: Yeah, we can stay together like horses in a yoke.

So what if oxen are yoked (thank you, Sandwich Fair) and not horses - it was the most poetic thing I've ever heard! And anyway, the sleepover was a raging success, thank you Grandpa Syd and Grandma Robin!
